close ties to the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset.

I like hunting for specific subjects and the patience that's required collecting brief moments captured over the course of a day or weeks, months and years compiling some sort of photographic record.

In the 70s, before becoming a teenager, I loved collecting and breeding butterflies and moths. Like dragonflies and so many other bugs they are fascinating creatures to study. Each with its own individual story. Such variety and colours, they are also wonderful subjects to photograph. While getting out of London into the countryside feels good for my mental health the whole experience has been marred by the fact that there are generally far less insects today than there were fifty years ago.
